Pekerti together with other NGOs (Association for Community Empowerment/ACE, Terasmitra, Buy to Donate Store and Pink Publicist) which concern to micro and small enterprise, conducting collaborative women empowerment project.

The Goal of the project is to increase women’s prosperity through micro and small enterprise development. The activity includes product development training, market access development through trade fair, bazaar, online shop and capacity building training for the NGOs. This project helps  women groups to increase their skills to develop product based on market trend.

“I’m so happy to participate in the production training. Now I have new skill to make many kind of accessories products. I hope I can earn income by selling these products,” Listina says.

Another activities of this project was conducting Focus Group Discussion on Fair Trade.  For Pekerti, this was a great opportunity to introduce Fair Trade to other organisations among project partners. The organisation participants are eager to learn about Fair Trade and want to implement Fair Trade in their activities. Basically their organization values have been similar with Fair Trade values, it makes easy for them to adopt Fair Trade principles.

“I hope Pekerti can produce pocket book of Fair Trade with the content is simple and easy to understand by all people as a tool of Fair Trade socialization to other organisation,” Titiek says.
